Does anyone know how to block sites on a PC or from firefox? Cuz I dunno how to and I need to.
The kids have become computer addicts. There is always one on the kitchen computer. One goes off, one goes on. Their favorite site... youtube. BUT.. for some reason, when they are on youtube, it sucks up my speed. I lag like heck on Fiesta and it takes forever for sites to load on firefox. So, I asked my parents if I could block youtube from the kitchen computer. The kids have plenty of sites that they can go to, they mainly watch stuff they can watch on TV, I personally do not like the idea of them being on there (they're all 10 years and younger), and hopefully it'll discourage them from sitting on there so long.
Soo yeah.... I need help.

well the obvious thing to do would be to get a add-on from Firefox to disable certain sites and all links to them.
Thing is, it's easily bypassable and they could remove it themselves. You think they'd figure out how?

but these things are all just workarounds, and at 10, I dunno these kids but at 10 they get awefully smart and devious(IMO). |

1) Goto start menu then run.
2) Type in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" and hit OK
3) Make a new line at the end of the file usually after "127.0.0.1 localhost".
4) Type in "208.65.153.238 127.0.0.1"
5) Save and restart.
