i was checking my free stat window just before browsing the forum and an interesting thought came to my mind. hope i can explain with my poor english
so every point of STR added gives 1 dmg to my fighter - should be the same for a cleric- this far. every 5th point adds 2.
now i was wondering if these points are the same if one is using a mace or a hammer.
like lets say someone has put 50 points into str, that would add 60 to dmg. now if its the same 60 points dmg bonus for both the mace and the hammer, then with the mace's faster attack speed - after adding enough str - it could do more dmg over time as the hammer. hope you see what i mean.
also, maces got lower crit rate, but higher accuracy which could even out somewhat. but missing with the faster mace is not as bad as missing with the slower hammer. less dmg is lost and the next hit comes faster.
any thoughts on this?
