Try safe mode and run your anti-virus programs from there. Also open your task-manager and look for suspicious programs.

How do I run in safe mode, and the programs are not showing up in my task manager.

I use Vista, so I restart and while it's loading up, tap the F8 key.

XP and Vista are the same for safe-mode.
Restart amd when it starts to boot-up again, keep tapping the F8 key.
