true...which is why you pay real money for spark cash which can be used in many games and the "money" you spend for an individual game is relatively small.
plus, its the same thing with collectible card games (MTG, Pokemon, Lo5R, etc...) ... or toys for an infant ... or clothes for a teenager ... it kinda keeps going

Parents might think differently since it's an electronic transaction, sending off financial information to a company that they have no personal experience with, through the internet.
Also the thing mentioned before about it being virtual, they never actually see for themselves what they're buying I guess, or they might just think their child is spending too much time on the computer :3

We pay for video games for a game system that will be crap in two years. We buy extra controllers and special controllers for certain games.
NASCAR 2006, 2007, 2008, any before that is a lot more fun if you play it with a steering wheel instead of a regular controller. It is an accessory along with memory cards. A new system will come out and all that money is gone, cuz they want the new system and the new games. Oh, and don't forget the game guides and books, yeah. So, what is a few bucks on this game even if we are not going to be playing it forever?

I believe there were other options besides credit cards...like money orders etc... also the exchange itself is handled by paypal which is sorta known for being trustworthy.
Spending too much time is also very subjective and relative. But that could be a whole 'nuther thread.
edit:
-nods at Spirit- ...indeed

A basketball, I think my parents would let me buy that because it's good exercise.
A deck of Magic cards, No! Yu-gi-oh cards, NO! My religion, which I will never give out, forbids things about magic.
Console games, my parents would not let me get it. Besides my newest console is the Gamecube, and I can't buy games with that. My parents don't really understand why I play video games. They think it's a waste of time. Even though I finished my homework very quickly, I run to the computer to play Fiesta, then my parents don't let me play saying, "It's a waste of time." Even though I got lots of time to waste.

Don't have Paypal, my parents don't have paypal, my parents rarely use the internet. Money orders, I don't get how to do that, and unless someone explains it to me, I will never use it.

My parents would never think buying clothes for a virtual person is worth it. I don't even think my parents think Fiesta is worth it.

I can feel kirbysprite's pain...except on the magic & religion part.

That's the old generation to you, I tell them I could use my own money since I have, then they say that fiesta thing isn't even important, then I reply by saying "We all put importance into whatever we put our time into, and it's my choice not yours"
They ignore meh and end the arguement... Boohoo! Killjoy parents

Wow, this thread moved from the Beauty Shop Coupon, to the pain I feel.

Yes, you guessed right. How did you know?
Yeah Fiesta is kinda magical, but my friend, who is a JW too, also plays this game.
