@niion soloing with fighters is extremely cheap during the first 20 levels- the stone prices only begin to actually hurt at 25+ My experience was that i never had trouble soloing.
Compare how easy playing a fighter is in comparison to a archer or a mage... Your damage is much more consistent you can handle more than 1 monster at once, your giving a plethora debuffs and a stun that is effective on boss monsters and players 20 levels above you..
@Destrus it probably is, in most cases both classes seem to cancel each other out. Although i can see a mage having an easier time killing an archer than an archer killing a mage.
Archer: low hp mediocre damage mediore magic defense (even with an spr build) damage based on small damage over time with heavy random crits
VS
Mage: low hp VERY Low physical defense but ugly attack power. Damage based on spamming heavy spells with comsistent damage Also have a high chance to crit which if hes lucky enough to get will anihilate the archer.
The intiative strike would be valuable in this match up.

Mages are based on heavy spike attacks with spells. But thier weakness especially in the lower levels in the VERY LONG cool down. In your fight you probably just fired off spells whenever you had the chance giving her the chance to heal during the cooldown times.
Next time i suggest trying to "spike" your damage together. Spiking is literally firing off all your most powerful spells at the same time at the cleric together with the other mage. It requires coordination but it should work.

Stun is only effective in pvp 50% of the time. Soloing with a fighter is expensive you use tons of SP and HP stones and they arent cheap.

isn't 50% too consistent for a skill that has only a 20 second cool down 15 if its trained? The ability has the ability to stun ANYONE..would u really want a lvl 20 fighter's stun being he reason why you lost a fight? just imagine 10 fighters stun locking..
This is just IMO really...

Teq and Niion are right about fighter's being expensive, especially when soloing. We no longer have the repeatable quest's that used to at least help pay for stones. At 106 copper per an hp stone with a maximum of 74 hp stones, a trip in later lvl's will cost you money half the time, with a slight chance of profit if you get lucky and find some silver lumps. This is especially true when considering the fact that fighters burn through sp stones as well.
On stun - it's not guaranteed to work, the only thing it's really useful for in pvp is stunning archers or mages so you don't have to chase them down. Why waste skill points on empowering the duration of stun when damage or sp reduction can be empowered on other skill's.
Pvp - Cleric(lvl 47) vs Fighter(lvl 48) - Stalemate, Teq and I tested this when the battle zone 1st came out. We agreed to stop after 5 minutes when both of us had hardly used any stones.
Mages - they're the best class for soloing at 40+ imo, sure they have low def but their kill speed is fantastic, they're probably about as expensive to lvl as fighters. I'll add that the lvl 45-50 solo arena event was won by a mage with a staff that wasn't even enhanced to +3.

Stun last 8 secs its no big deal unless you have tons of people spikin one target lol  . A cleric can tank two people while gettin stunned. a lvl 20 fighter wont be able to land stun on me. He doesnt have the aim to do it

lol that was hilarious one shotted Lune right after that fight xD x_X...dude mages own literally people think they suck because of pvp...but they dont suck in that area either we killed the gms yesterday about 8-12 times due to Fire and Lune nuking and purging. o.0 my stones are only 63 copper each   .

Mage's HP stones are cheaper than fighter, however I get 1.5~2x more damage per hit.
We have ranged attack but fighters have stun, bone slicer or other defensive skills.
So, HP stone cost is same or a little higher than fighters.

Your weapon level was 40, but my weapon was 50. It's a big different.
