Hey hey all, welcome to the Concerto Gate Info thread. Note that stuff from here might be different from the new one since I played the old Mandarin version.
When you first create your character, you are classless, you are a freelancer, you will do certain quests at Lv10(Might be different since this IS the newer version.) for certain job that you want. Examples such as weapon manufacturer, you have to collect materials to make weapons.
First thing,
Stats.
Choose your base stats carefully when you create your character, you can't change your base stats once you made your character unless you recreate another character. You'll get stat points when you level up to distribute to your base stats, so focus on the stats you want and have a high base stats on that/those stat(s).
You have 5 stats,
Vital - Your HP and defense.
Strength - Your melee combat damage.
Dexterity- Your dodge.
Quick- Your turn speed on how early or late it comes.
Mind- Your magic combat damage.
Next,
Elements.
When you create your character, you will have to distribute elements to your character. Elements affect your character on how other enemies and players(during PvP) use their skill moves on and attack you. Enemies and pets also have elements.
Here's the elements and how they affect each other.
Water > Fire > Wind > Earth > Water
I repeated water to make it less confusing so people wouldn't just put all their element into water to think nothing is effective against it.
Now let me tell you about the weapons and armors you may use and also items.
Weapons:
Armors:
Items:
Sometimes you will items with ??? as name, take it to an identifier to reveal what it is.
Now let me talk about each weapon type and armor type.
Weapons:
Sword
Sword is your godly weapon if you are a Swordsman, you have basically no speed delay, so your turn comes earlier. You have lower attack, but no speed delay.
Spear
Spear is Knight's godly weapon, you have good attack power and medium speed delay. This is a soldier's most common weapon in the older Taiwan version.
Axe
Axe Fighter's main weapon, strongest attack with a large speed delay, so your turn is most likely to be last unless you are able to get your hand on decent to rare axe that have a speed delay of a spear.
Staff
Shaman, Clerics and Mage's weapon, they need staffs for more effective healing and effective magic attacks. They are useless when comes to whacking your enemies with it, it barely have any attack power. Have High magic attack power.
Bow
Bows are for archers, ninja, and soldiers, many soldiers prefer bow as well as spears. Bow are long range with a wide variety of attack power and speed delay, you just got to buy or find the best one. Most bows are like swords, low attack and barely any speed delay, but some are different.
Dagger
Daggers are for Sealers(or Tamers) and Ninjas. They have low attack power and no speed delay at all. Daggers are used for Sealers to seal pets(sealing will be explained later), to get the monster's HP down for an easier seal.
Boomerang
Boomerang are used by thieves and ninjas. They have low attack power and medium speed delay, they can hit all enemies in the row. There are also decent and rare boomerang that have high attack power with low speed delay.
Armors
Plate Armors
Plate Armors are for Knights, Swordsman, and Axe Fighters. They have great defense and low magic defense and lower dodge rate.
Cloth
Cloth armors are for the low speed delay classes such as Swordsman, Archers, Ninjas, thieves, and Sealers. They have less defense and decent magic defense and increase of dodge rate.
Gowns
Shaman, Mages, and Cleric's wear, it have low to decent defense with some lowered dodge rate added on and also have high magic defense, also gives good magic attack power.
Boots
Boots are the Plate Armors on feet. High defense with lower dodge rate.
Shoes
Shoes are light, gives you good dodge rate and might have added effect of increasing your dodge rate.
Helmet
For the tanks and DDs, they have high defense.
Hat
For all other classes that aren't tanks or DDs. They have hats that gives you good magic attack and defense power, lower defense.
Shield
For the Swordsman for added defense for them to be effective tanks or DDs that can take a bit more damage.
Now let's get on with the classes you can become. There are 6 types of classes, melee combat type, magic combat type, support type, gatherer type, producer type, and special type.
Melee Combat Type:
Combat types are your DDs and Tanks.
Class:
Soldier
Recommended Weapon: Any, Soldiers are great with all weapons
Recommended Armor: Any but gown.
Soldiers are all around class, you can use all sorts of weapon and armors, from sword to boomerang and armors to gowns. They can also learn basic level of magic, no higher.
Class:
Knight
Recommended Weapon: Spear, their only godly weapon.
Recommended Armor: Plate Armor, Boots, Helmet
Knights are your tanks or DDs. They are like a combination of Swordsman and Axe Fighter.
Class:
Axe Fighter
Recommended Weapon: Axe
Recommended Armor: Plate Armor, Boots, Helmet
Axe Fighters are you DDs, they have strong attacks that can take out enemies in a few turns.
Class:
Swordsman
Recommended Weapon: Sword w/ Shield
Recommended Armor: Plate Armor, Boots, Helmet
You can be the tank with this class. This class is great for tanking because of it being the only class effective with the shield.
Class:
Archer
Recommended Weapon: Bow
Recommended Armor: Cloth, Shoes, Hat
My favorite class out of all combat classes. It got low defense and not much HP but your turn comes fast, you hit decently, so you can take out enemies fast.
Class:
Brawler
Recommended Weapon: None
Recommended Armor: Cloth, Shoes, Hat
It's one of the Magic/Melee hybrid without the healing ability. You can also tank with this class. You can be a great DD both melee and magic, you learn OK magic attacks and you have strong attacks.
Class:
Ninja
Recommended Weapon: Dagger or Boomerang
Recommended Armor: None
Unfortunately..Ninjas can't wear any armors, they are super vulnerable to hits and need constant healing, but they are pretty crazy. They have strong attacks and also have assassin skills that might have a chance of One-Hit KO any enemy.
Class:
Bandit/Thief
Recommended Weapon: Dagger w/ Shield
Recommended Armor: Cloth, Shoes, Hat
One of the class that I have never played before, all I know is that you are able to steal items from your enemies.
Class:
Dancer
Recommended Weapon: Boomerang w/ Shield
Recommended Armor: Cloth, Shoes, Hat
The weakest combat class on its own in my opinion, Dancer have low defense, HP, and attack power, but it's the party's main buffing class. This class uses buff to empower their stats to make themselves and their party members stronger. This class is always in need of buff to become an effective party member and Dancer pretty fun to play in parties. Hard to play if you solo.
Magic Combat Type:
They are your magic class, your DDs, buffers, and debuffers. These class are all dependent on their pet for tanking and combat.
Class:
Mage
Recommended Weapon: Staff
Recommended Armor: Gown, Shoes, Hat
Your DDs with low attack, defense, HP and high magic defense and magic attack. You use all 4 elements, fire, wind, earth, and water, to deal damage to enemies. The hardest class to level at beginning.
Class:
Witch Doctor
Recommended Weapon: Staff
Recommended Armor: Gown, Shoes, Hat
One of the must need party class with a con of medium to large MP is needed to cast it's skills. It have low defense, attack, and low HP and have high magic defense and magic attack. It have revivals and removal of status effects on other party members and self. It's also a costly class.
Class:
Cleric
Recommended Weapon: Staff
Recommended Armor: Gown, Shoes, Hat
Also one of the must need party class for boss fights, your healer. It lacks the strength for combat, since it got low HP, defense, and strength. It have skills that protects teammates from all damage for couple turns, party heals, and so on of the cleric healing skills. Another costly class to play.
Class:
Shaman
Recommended Weapon: Staff
Recommended Armor: Gown, Shoes, Hat
Buffer and Debuffer, good for solo with pet and party. It have low HP, low attack, and defense but high magic attack and defense. Solos well with a pet, the pet tanks while you debuff your enemy and buff yourself and your pet. Just let your pet do the job of killing your enemy while your enemy is debuffed.
