I haven't seen one yet in game, but from watching tuna bandits, I think they're generally near / inside towns. But they're def in radiated areas so you either need appropriate clothes that reduces radiation, or get radiation pills.
KK!!!

You'll hear this ticking sound in the background as soon as you get into a radiated zone, I think it's the sound of a geiger counter? You'll also see a RAD bar underneath your health and hunger bar. Once it reaches 500, you'll start to die from it.

I think they were noobs because they were shirtless. May have been doing someone's bitch work by transporting stuff? Idk how I killed them, luck?
Okay I'll try to find a radiation center.

I didn't know how the first map worked until I just saw that you need to connect to their server...? I dunno, if you're interested to try, that might help with navigation.
but I always come across towns by following the road. Eventually one of the roads would become part of the radiation area.

Was reading tips and tricks

(NOTE: You must place it from outside the shelter, and move around a bit till it turns green, its a bit jittery when placing)
|
Maybe because you placed the door from inside, the door opens inward that's why you couldn't put stuff in your shelter? I dunno. I've always created the door from inside the shelter but haven't had the problem yet. I can fit a campfire, furnace and sleeping bag. Tho I did have a problem on one occasion and that's when I managed to build the shelter on a non-fat surface lol

If a player tries breaking in dont panic! It takes 20 minutes with the basic rock to break in, 15 with a stone hatchet and 10 with a normal hatchet. Doors can be blown off instantly with C4 but no one, I repeat no one will waste a c4 on a wooden shack.
|
Mannn that's the thing. Having a metal door is more secure but then it just flags that you have important stuff inside.

Rust Map Basics:
The sun always rises East and makes its way till its setting point West
All blue highlighted areas are good areas for finding blueprints to items but are filled with bandits and zombies/infected, for more info look at the radiation section
If looking to navigate with the road to a certian location, look for mountains and water bodies to direct your path.
Good base locations that have Stone/Mineral spawns, Wildlife source and trees are:
Wateland south
Coast Resource
Resource Valley
Next Valley
Rad Town Valley
A good way for you and a friend to meet up is by using the road to travel to a meet up spot. If one person is finding the other, let the based player set a sort of landmark like a lit fireplace in the middle of the road. Or link your friend to this guide and show him the Navigation section

OK I think we'll need those tips hahaha

Ctrl + click will auto max the amount available with resources on hand while crafting. Shift + click will add +10 to amount in case you don't want max.

You can repair damaged items like doors, walls, even storage crates. Put the item ingredient in a hotbar slot. Lets say wood door. Lets say slot #1. So you'd put some wood in slot 1 and aim at the door and hit 1 repeatedly. You should get a notification that it is healing, something like 800/1000. If it is already at full health, it won't say anything. This repairs all types of damage, even decay. You can also use it in real time, like if someone is hacking at your door and you are inside, you can repair as they hack until you run out of resources or they go away.

When you take out a door, a bar appears at the bottom. There is a 5 min timer before you can put a new door in.

Zombies are being removed, but until then: Red zombies are normal, Black zombies have 2x health and do 2x damage but are supposed to have a better loot table.
|
^ not sure if they are removed from the game??

Unfortunately, your ugly shack won't last forever. Rust has something called Decay. Each building in the game has a timer: 12 hours for wood shelters, 24+ hours on wood buildings, and 4 days for metal buildings. When that timer reaches 0, the building begins to decay from the top down. The easy way to reset the timer is by simply opening the door to your home.

Damn my shelter will be gone by the time I can play again. Not that I know where it is anyway... LMAO but it's got my ammos T_T
