*nod*

ideally in a game, there should always be monsters that are higher up than you and too hard to beat (thus being good exp) UNTIL you reach the final level cap. I'm honestly not for the capping of content in ANY game. I don't even see the point. Everyone would be much happier if everything was unlocked from the start and there was something new to explore all the way until there was nothing. until you saw it all and found it was time to move on.

releasing a half finished game is BS. :| though that's sadly how most of these games tend to go I guess...

*agreed* But I mean with fiesta, its like..its pretty bad, lol. Other games at least either start off with more content or add it generally okay X_X

This game desperately needs more maps though. ESPECIALLY that they're upping the level cap to 89 this month (supposedly) its like.. x_X
Level cap raise in 2+ months (no definitive time, but beyond April is when we can expect anything.)

The same problem will happen with the level 80's, and we'll end up at this same, exact, discussion.

The level 80's will have nowhere to go except burning rock or flaming mine. Both give good experience no doubt, but not the amount needed to grind out 23 million and MORE experience, in a reasonable amount of time.

So you see, we end up in this same exact discussion. Except 50's will be 60's. 60's will be 70's. 40's will be 50's.

If it was beneficial to grind on something your own level, something extremely advantageous, than we wouldn't see lower levels in higher level maps. If the experience rates were better than grinding on something of a higher level, people would be more inclined to grind in their level-range.

That is what outspark, is, sort of aiming for here. Although they didn't implement the best solution possible, it is a start. By making monsters 30 levels above provide only 1 exp, it becomes more advantageous to grind on things of a lower level. Perhaps increased drop-rates?

I realize it may seem unfair that we were given the ability to enter Forest of Slumber and grind there as 40's with no "flak", but things change over time.

The real root of the problem here, really isn't the lack of maps. Its the lack of forseight on good experience rates.

The level 40's are being asked to gain 100K-800K exp, gaining only 100-500 a kill.

The level 50's are being asked to gain 900K-3M exp gaining only 400-1000 exp a kill.

The level 60's are being asked to gain 3.5M - 11M exp gaining only 1000-1600 exp a kill.

The level 70's are being asked to gain 12M - 23M exp gaining only 1000-2400 exp a kill.

Now, all around the rates are bad, which is why you see people trying to "get-in" on the exp-rates of higher levelled area's. But, you see, the level 70's have no-where to go. Double the exp required to gain, not doubled the rates....

Anyways back to the original point, we will see the exact same problem with level 80's when the cap raises, unless, they fine-tune our exp-rates.

I sincerely hope that the 70-79 Battlefield and the 80-89 Battlefields are released soon. It's agony enough for me to grind out the what, ~13 million experience required for level?

Dungeon of the Abyss was fine - Pulled in 1 million experience an hour with the 50% experience boost + experience card. But after 70, other than a new house and weapon...it's back to the Sylphs. Or Shylphs, however Outspark spells it. And that experience truly sucks. 400k-500k an hour, depending on the crowd.

Other than extremely hardcore grinders, it looks like the high level population is going to start winnowing away soon. I, for one, can no longer find a reason to keep going if the experience is the same as it was in the 60s.

I now recognize how easy the low levels had it. 1 million to level? 2 million to level? That sounds very nice right about now.

Kinda ridiculous isn't it.

I remember hyperventilating (not literally) when I found I needed 1million to lvl.

Now it's "1million tnl? SHWEET ALMOS THAR!"

that's exactly what I said back there, but people didn't care/bash ~D:

increasing the % cap on exp seems like the best way for me, other than that it seems it's better to restrict maps by level once and for all <.<;;

and for the low level farmers, how about adjust drop rates by level too? I mean, no penalty if you're higher leveled, but an extremely low drop rate if you're low leveled seems fine.
