It's a pity that all MMORPGs have people like these, but it's only to be expected since it's in Beta and as someone else mentioned, the selection process was indiscriminate.
Looking at the announcement for the event, it does state quite clearly that only +6 weapons will be accepted. I wouldn't claim to know why people would even want to try getting anything less in, but I suppose some people have nothing else better to do than to bother GMs.

If this many "noobs" and "boobs" are in the closed beta, there'll be 10x more during OB. So, maybe the GMs need to build a tolerance to them and find a way to keep things under control. They're people too, yes, but they're also leaders. Totally dropping the event and leaving due to getting irritated really isn't acceptable. Penalizing everyone because of a handful would result in that happening every single time a GM tries to do ANYTHING in public...
Not sure of any kind of solution to this problem, but there are better ways of dealing with it. Either that or whip out the ban mallet and start swinging! XD

People like this are inevitable. You can't stop them from coming but you can supress them

The meaning of victory is not to defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his every achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can recover. That is the meaning of victory.

Also quoted for truth. Sooner or later, the GMs are going to have to ban some of the completely intolerable people anyway.
I suppose one way to get around this is to suspend people who keep spamming the GMs even though they don't have the right item. Perhaps, this will send them the message that the GMs won't tolerate such nonsense.

THe even yesterday was interuppted by some little noob. There was a team battle event, if you didn't know. Two people fought off monsters that [GM]Dakkon spawned. It was for lvl 25-35. Then this little Fighter comes in and starts attacking there mobs too. The GM stopped the event, sent the guy to prision, and then made the two people start over again. Everyone was telling him to stop but he just kept on doing it.

not to mention a cleric buffing and healing a couple of teams to help them survive the toughest monster. i'd call it upmost unfair, but meh - luckily he didnt managed to ruin the event, at least the fun factor of it.
sending ppl to prison worked well imo. they could improve this a little, by stating the rules before the event and then just sending offenders to prison after the first warning or so. no need to interrupt the event for long minutes, just get rid of them. maybe a second GM could take care of sending people to prison for the time of the event - a couple of days, depending on what they did
i was quite amazed how hard it was to make even about 50-100 people to stand on the stairs. not sure if i hadnt just burnt them all after 15 mins
so props to Dakkon, he made a good job so i had my fun for sure

Everyone, has to remember that you were once a noob as well. So instead of complaining about them, how about you take them under your wing and educate them on how the events work? I am new to the game as well, mind you I do not act obnoxious but still. I ask alot of questions from whoever is close. lol
