There are server specific events based off event schedules, Dakkon and I have different responsibilities, so we do events when we can.
This 3x exp 2x drop event is a thank you to the apoline players who had to go a week without a GM due to my being absent from work.

If you want a comparison:
If we have more events, we have more winners. But not everyone gets something whereas, for bonus exp, everyone gets a little boost. Also, not everyone will make it for the event. On the other hand, bonus exp lasts for quite a while and so it will benefit players more.
