I thought the movie was really good. There are still some parts I'm confused about but overall really good movie!

They've got a really heavy accent and I missed half the conversations (esp the whispers) XD

Really? It sounds really different to me xD And well my English listening skills arent great.. so even in Aussie accent I sometimes miss stuff HAHA that's just the Chinese side of me mucking around with my ears...

I kinda wanna see Repo Man when it comes out! It's like the same theme as Repo: The Genetic Opera BUT... Jude Law is in it.. it looks funnier and a bit more gross in some ways~

The Australian accent is fairly distinct. Their vowels tend to be of differing lengths than the English, that and the usage of r's. Then again, I can distinguish several of the regional UK dialects, i.e. Yorkshire, Received Pronunciation (BBC), Geordie, etc.

Accents and regional dialects have always interested me, but not enough to actually study linguistics in any sort of real capacity.

The British tone is very different from ours...

"Are we there yet?"

They would raise their tone for "there" to a higher pitch and lower it for "yet"

while we do the opposite (lower for "there", higher for "yet")

Or at least that's how I thought we would sound xD

Without using actual phenome marks (which hardly anyone knows), the final word would sound like "yit" instead of "yet". And the r's would be that sort of weak-r sound the Aussies love. Instead of "are" being a hard, pirate-like "r" (as I would use) it would be more like "aaaah".

You guys. You aren't going to change what I hear o-o So telling me all the technical stuff doesn't mean jack to me XD

Aussies and Brits.. at least all the actors I have heard sound a like for me.
