The Australian accent is fairly distinct. Their vowels tend to be of differing lengths than the English, that and the usage of r's. Then again, I can distinguish several of the regional UK dialects, i.e. Yorkshire, Received Pronunciation (BBC), Geordie, etc.
Accents and regional dialects have always interested me, but not enough to actually study linguistics in any sort of real capacity.
