Why are clerics so dumb nowadays!!!

In a KQ party, you:

Heal first, fight 2nd.

Save yourself before saving others.

Invince yourself, then go revive someone else.

Revive a cleric first, DDers 2nd.

Stand out of mob's AOE range.

MD jumps, you run!

Keep spamming heal on tank.

Then heal everyone else in the party that hasn't got full HP.

Don't stand around and talk.

Make yourself useful.

You see a dead person in the path, you revive them.

That's all the advise I want to pass onto all the clerics in my last MD KQ.

Fiesta should allow you to make in-game chat templates. This would be my initial shout every time I start a KQ.

Hell yeah. That way when that gay little announcement noise comes on, you know what is coming next. Not only does this apply to the Clerics, but also to the Tankers and the DDers. They all need a template.

Sometimes I'm not looking at the chat. My eyes are concentrating on peoples HP. Mainly because when I go into a KQ, its with Targon, and he likes to tank on his archer, so I have to spam heal on him. But I still rez someone if I see they need it.

Annnnd this is why I never join MD without guildies anymore. Because when I join alone, it fails 75% of the time. D: It's not just the clerics who have no idea what they're doing, although that's a huge part of it...when I was joining all the time, there was usually a shortage of competent tanks as well.

go to CP1 as a lvl 66 cleric - did NOT even need to buff myself until I got through to where the nox's, bright golden bats, and archon's were (in the maze of rooms) ...

PARTY ONE: self impressed tanker pulls a HUGE mob with a few big bats and a couple noc captains archons and regular nox's to me ...

and gets angry BECAUSE this cleric FAILED to heal him (while I was getting killed and ended back in Uruga)

PARTY TWO (with different person): SAME STUNT!! ... killed and back in Uruga ...

IF YOU DO NOT LIKE how Clerics do it ... check YOUR OWN SKILLS first ...

I admit that I am NOT always 100% spot on ...

... I was in KQ where a SO CALLED Tanker was crying about clerics not doing their job
... and I (a Cleric) was the ONLY ONE tanking the final monster
and NO ONE helped until I had about 1/2 the life out of it - then OTHERS finally joined in
and let me die so I lost the exp points from the kill because no one was doing their so called JOB.

BOTTOM LINE: a Cleric CAN KILL MONSTERS - NO ONE ELSE can buff squat!

Get an alt and join a few lower level KQs and you'll understand.

And no, it is not always our own fault if things went wrong. Not in this KQ case, anyway. I was in the same KQ the thread starter talked about. In fact, we both have clerics as our main, so I'm pretty sure we know how to tell the difference. I'm sure everyone else in this thread also knows how to tell the difference between accidental deaths and a bad cleric.

As for your story I'd say you just had a bad day, but don't go telling everyone to get over themselves when there isn't any "getting over" to do. Thank you.
