I FINALLY READ THE DAMN BOOK! After all this time whining about not having received my copy, I finally finished it! And I love it.

I really liked the whole series. It's cool how some of the little details in the first 6 books were mentioned in the last one. I was so happy when I found out that Snape wasn't a foe afterall. After I read the 6th book, I didn't want to believe that he was a foe. I really hoped that there was some unrevealed secret that makes Snape the good guy, and TADA there it was in the book!

I also liked how Rowling showed that Dumbledore wasn't as perfect as we all thought it was throughout the first 6 books. I used to think that having a perfect wizard who fears nothing in the book makes it "unrealistic" in terms of human nature, and that having a flawless character will just make the book dull because she could have just made him come up with some miraculous plan in beating Voldemort. Thankfully she didn't, and reading about Dumbledore recounting his past made me feel so sad. ;~;

The epilogue was a little bit cheesy, but I liked it. I mean, I would have wanted to know what happened to some of the characters anyway, e.g. Neville. But man, so sad how Fred had to die! His death was not needed! Lupin and Tonks were depressing enough. >_>

I have one question though. Does anyone remember, in the 6th book (I think), how Dumbledore said something like "Remember my last" to Petunia through a Howler (I think)? Was he referring to how Petunia wrote a letter to him, asking to be accepted into the Hogwarts? But I don't get it. Anyone know?

Edit: @secro: I agree with your explanation of Harry coming back alive. I didn't want him to die, and I was glad Ron and Hermione didn't die either.
