I would love to see a tool like this. I often wonder, as you said, if I'm getting more XP by killing green monsters in high volumes, or is it worth it to burn a couple silver in pots and hp/sp stones to train on something yellow or even orange. Or what about in a party?
These are the questions I thirst for an answer to, and your tool would be it!
And yes, I have no interest in taking the time to do it manually. I'd rather just grind :-)
