In my opinion it's good to have at least on Archer in your party. Reason being if for some reason your tank dies... an archer can take over for the brief second it takes for the tank to be revived again. With our Nature's Mist we can pull aggro easily. Can a Mage do that? Not likely.

Mages are paper that can give paper cuts.
However, I would agree with Loveless. If the tank fails and the cleric needs time to revive, an archer should take over. With an invincible, the archer should be fine while the tank is being rezzed.
Mages can't do that. They are, however, very good for AoE parties, while archers aren't so handy =/

Fear skill... but you don't get that until... how many levels later? Majority of the players are not going to get past 40.

loveless, err..... actually archers still get party till 40+
once ur in the 50+, u end up in lvl 50~60 parties in which mage have their fear skill oredi, u have your aoe poison
people would prefer to kill fast and aoe monster for high exp gains
at that point of time, archers dont get to party much unless in guild/friends or tag with lvl 40+ that's what i found out
Although mage sounds so superior now, i'm sticking to my archer
forever not having regrets =)

You misunderstood me. I'm saying that a majority quit before reaching 40-50 or are slow levelers. Kids usually play about 1-2 hours a day depending so most do not have Fear or Nature's Mist to count on.
In AEW I always see at least one Archer in a party. I used to be depended on as a tanker there too... O.o

Well I'm a female mage even I voted for Mage, anyway the reason I prefer mage is doing a great dmg and making the aoe more interesting.

actually i think 1 archer is enough unless there's no mage out there willing to come tag along in your party,
those people out there doesnt know poison, bleed and disease does not stack with other archers nor do they time it right (meaning to use it after the 2nd archer's poison ended)
Senario 1
Archer 1 aoe poisons (40 dmg ps), then Archer 2 aoe poisons (40 dmg ps)
Archer 2 aoe poisons does not reset the timing of those poisoned monster of Archer 1
Senario 2
Archer 1 aoe poisons (40 dmg ps), then Archer 2 aoe poisons (48 dmg ps)
Archer 1 aoe poisons get over written by Archer 2, y did he use it anyway ><
(higher dmg over writes lower dmg, lower dmg does not over write higher dmg)
Senario 3
Archer 1 (40dmg ps) shoots aoe poison, then Archer 2 (40dmg ps) waits 15~19 seconds, that's what i do, then shoots aoe poison
Archer 2 overwrites all the monster's poisoned timer
This is tested in aoe trumpies ><
