Stun/Lightning Bolt

I was in a Mara KQ and people told not to use stun and Lightning Bolt. I've heard the stun story before (stun=taunt), but the Lightning Bolt one is new for me. They said it would cause Mara and Marlone to use their AoE attack. Personally, I don't believe the stories (especially the stun one) but I was just wondering what you guys might know about it and where it all came from.

Unfortunately the Lightning bolt is something you absolutely SHOULDN'T use during a KQ. Exspecially when you have archers. For some apparent reason (its a bug I believe), lightning bolts negate archers poisions and periodic bleeding damage. You can even try it, when you see a poision or bleed just lightning zap it away.

If your told not to use lightning bolt its not because they will AOE. Its because your removing an archer poision or bleed which in all honesty accounts for more damage to a KQ boss than your magic skills. Archers in the minidragon are the most valuable form of DPS available. Their poisions, bleeds, and periodic damages account for over half the damage ever done to the minidragon.

There a lots of widespread rumors and misinformation about the Mara KQ. The lightning bolt negating poison/bleed skills sounds reasonable though. I didn't about that.

The ones about don't stun Marlone and Mara and finish it in under a certain time or whatever I think are pure BS. The stun thing as far as I know only applies to the Gold Hill Digger boss and confused people probably started saying it about other bosses and it just spread.

Whenever I was still doing Maras with my tank I always told people to stun as much as they want and I've never lost aggro even with very high damaging mages and archers spamming skills. They both also use their AOEs no matter what. Of course, I could be wrong, but either way as long as the tank taunts properly there should be no problems.

Same here, I've tanked my fair share of Mara's and Marlone's and never once lost agro (unless they killed me of course).

So the thing with the gold robber is true? I thought it was BS lol

No I'm pretty sure the gold robber one is true. I don't know for certain but he does change targets a lot it seems. I think stunning him causes him to lose all the aggro he has toward everyone. Then he just goes after whoever hits him first/hardest. :/

What i have noticed is when gold hill boss stuns the tank then he changes target and goes after the highest damage dealer. I have not been able to tell what skill it is that triggers his stun it may be him getting stunned but there are sometimes in gh that i would never get stunned and some that i did alot but everytime i was stunned when i was tanking boss changed targets

Mara kq however the only time i have seen a tank lose aggro is when they didnt spam taunts and that happens wether or not mara/malone gets stunned. In my experience stunning in Mara kq does not trigger them to stun.

I have seen lightning kill my poision/bleed when playing my archer

Im not sure about the stunning but i doubt that there will be problems if u snearing kick in the event that the boss begins to go for someone else...
