Yeah, that's alright, but sometimes even left click-dragging fills a series, and that's what makes me wonder.

If you have a pattern established then you can left-click & drag to get the series also. Fill the first 2 cells and then highlight both and when you left-click drag you get the series. I responded for the person who was filling the first cell and trying to run the series. If there is a way to get Excel to run the sequential series with just 1 cell populated, then I'm not sure other then the right-click drag.

Yup.

Yet if you just type 1, and drag, you get 1, 1, 1, 1....

I think it has something to do with the format of the cell. Excel recognise "1 star" to be text, and when you drag that it goes 1 star, 2 star, 3 star..

but when you just type 1, it recognise it as number (usually the number are automatically right aligned as well) and it just goes 1, 1, 1, 1....

Strange that it thinks text need sequence, but number doesn't... I couldn't figure out that logic... but that's now it seems to work..

That works too. I had not tried it since right/left click worked just fine. Thanks!
