Yeah, I had to buy a whole outfit for a wedding reception... for someone I didn't even know.

Poor, starving students can't afford that!

Yeah I reckon! Even when I'm working and I can technically afford it, it's not worth me spending so much for just 1 night!

Speaking of which.. her wedding is in Dec... I guess I have to buy ANOTHER outfit if I dont wanna embarrass myself on wearing the same thing again... but at least it'll be Summer by then...

Just get a slinky little black number. Then you can wear it to anything.

Then again, this advice is coming for a guy that only owns two pairs of shoes at a time.

hmm maybe.. I have yet to find a dress that I can wear to anything.. and I often go out with the same people so they can actually recognise that I've worn it before

Guys get to wear the same suit all the time too and no one would say "hey you wore that last time!"

I've got nothing that I've already got that's considered "cocktail"... most of my "nice clothes" are on the casual side of things.. (if it gives u a better idea, boots - which is the current trend - are not recommended at a cocktail party apparently...)

but but.. i've been so use to wearing about 4 layers!! and we opened the door to let some relos out after dinner last night and OMG it was freezing outside!
