As the night approached and the sun set across the barren land, the secret
ballots were cast to decide the fate of one among the people of the
outpost. Deaths door had been opened for Kirbysprite. Upon hearing the
news Kirbysprite did not flinch or even waiver, he simply stepped up to
await his execution. The angry mob cheered at the fate of Kirbysprite for
they knew they had found one of those that were causing this anguish in
Burning Rock. The people led Kirbysprite to an open hole in the ground
that fell straight down for 100 feet. It was an opening to one of the old
mines caused by a cave in. The people pushed Kirbysprite into the hole and
listened for his screams, but all they heard was the sickening thud of
flesh hitting the bottom.
Now with renewed vigor the people of the outpost ransacked Kirbysprites hut
and found a sword, a shield, and a letter. As they anxiously opened the
letter in hopes it would give them more insight to who the legals were they
read this:

Kirbysprite was Captain Shutain
The people of the outpost started to hang their head as they realized that
they had not caught a legal at all but had taken the life of someone sent
to protect them. The irony stung.
As the final light of day set upon the outpost and everyone went back to
their homes three figures met in secret to make their next move.
