yeah, kinda. people are panicking and freaking out about nothing. it's mass hysteria, but it's not all too deadly unless you have a crappy immune system and dont rest and get lots of fluids. the original carrier of it, who was a TODDLER lived through it. They should inform us that a form of flu is spreading, but not make it sound like "OMG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! TELL MY WIFE I LOVE HER! TELL FRANK I HATE HIM! OMG! D:"

I don't know where you get your news from but I think you should stop getting news from that place. I have yet to see this "mass hysteria" that you talk about. I have seen governments get prepared to deal with the situation should it occur, but I haven't seen mass hysteria.
If something like this is going around, then I DO want to know about it. Theoretically, with your argument, you could say that the media shouldn't have covered 9/11.

lulz... the daily show XD
and nah, im just saying that they're going all "Bird Flu" on us again... they were making it sound like there were gonna be massive deaths from it and stuff, but if i recall correctly (though i may not, since when it was around i didnt watch much news) there werent all that many deaths from it...
And before i get attacked for getting news from the daily show...
From wikipedia:
"A more recent survey, released by the Pew Research Center on April 15, 2007, indicates that regular viewers of The Daily Show tend to be more knowledgeable about news than audiences of other news sources. Approximately 54% of The Daily Show viewers scored in the high knowledge range, followed by Jim Lehrer's program at 53% and Bill O'Reilly's program at 51%, significantly higher than the 34% of network morning show viewers."

I think people who tend to watch the Daily Show are already informed. If you aren't keeping up with what's going on, the jokes don't work nearly as well. I really don't think (and I certainly hope) that The Daily Show isn't anyone's primary method of news gathering.

Yeah, but what's the exchange rate? About 4000 Mexicans to an American, right?
Yes, yes. I'm already going to hell, I'm just securing a window seat.
