The highest I've been able to get is +7 on my bows:

That one is my old light bow. My lvl 20 bow was +7 too but I went for 8 with a lucky xir and it downgraded to +6. Then I tried to take it back up to +7 again with a blessed xir and it broke.

Haha, small world. People asked me that all the time, especially when I first made it because there weren't very many around then. My own was the first I'd seen anyway.
