The rectangular things are 'tags' that you get when you join groups that have tags eg-guilds, or are Fiestafan tags that you get for doing something on the site. Eg- You get the Premium-User tag after 1000 posts along with name-color change and increased PM space. 'Rush' would be an example of a Guild-Tag.
The squareish green buttons are reputation dots. They can be either red or green depending on whether you have positive or negative reputation.
