Spirit:

"Voting" works by having people click on the image banner andthen going to the TopSites page and actually submitting a link to the list. When a person successfully submits a link, your site earns a vote. So basically, voting is based off of submitted sites. The TopSites system tracks where the person came from so it knwos who to give the vote to.

As for who created the site, yes, that would be me. My goal is to have a site that lists all of the sites that have been made for Fiesta. I have nothing against anyone. FiestaHQ wasn't posted up there until like 4 days after the site was launched and then I started to actually promote the site. Also, notice how FiestaHQ has a banner. It's the only actual fansite on the list with a description AND a banner. That's why it's in the lead. And no, it doesn't have 200 votes, it has 200 pageviews. The number of votes it currently has is 0.

Okay, then this is more confusing than I originally thought.

How do you submit a link to the list, without creating multiple listings of the same site. Because I sumbitted Fiestafan and so did Ralth. Now, when I go to the site Fiestafan is up there twice.

EDIT: and I said I did not mean it in a bad way, I also I never said anything about you having anything against anybody.

Ayways, I will delete the duplicate link.

I just finished editing the site:

- Banner now has the website link embedded into it
- Stats and Rate/Review links appear above the Stats table in the third column of TopSites list
- News box now appears on the top of the site
- Referral mod implemented (people who refer others to the site appear in the Referral panel)
- Ratings box added to Stats panel in the TopSites list
- Movement arrows changed
- FAQ section added (link is in the navigation menu)

Ok..... I've clicked the link from FF to FiestaTop 100 and I've clicked the "banner" from FiestaTop100 to FF and nothing ever changes... >____>"

So how do our members actually sumbit a link without it duplicating putting Fiestafan on the list?

That is the most confusing part.

Easy, when you submit a site, it will ask you what is the website url you want to submit. When users get to this part in the link submission form, they shouldn't put in FiestaFan's website link. Users duplicate urls because they put in the same website url but ifferent email...the system accepts the same website url but not the same email. Therefore, you are able to put in the same website url but you have to put in a different email.

I'm going to put in a mod that will prevent users from entering in duplicate website links.

Users can put in WHATEVER website link they want. The TopSite list was made for the sole purpose so that people can submit whatever Fiesta sites they have made. It doesn't have to be FiestaFan...FiestaFan is already on the list. If FiestaFan wants to have a vote, somebody has to click on the image code (the Aardvark TopSites image banner), then go to the TopSites list, click on the "Join" link at the top, and fill in the form. Votes are based on submitted sites so if someone from FiestaFan submits a site, FiestaFan earns a vote.

How does that code help me?

It's just the FiestaTop100 code that's floating around everywhere. I don't particularly need that.

Wait. Ok. That makes no sense.

If we want to vote for FiestaFan, then we have to submit some other site????

How the hell does that work?
