Lucky day?

I was playing around and made a mage to farm some mats for my cleric and I think I was pretty lucky. At lv.11 I found 5 treasure chests(all on the same map) in about a 20 minute span(2 chests,2 chests than 1). Not much inside of most of them, but the last two dropped pets(honey and a slime). So, after thinking myself pretty lucky, I went back to town to sell some stuff and some guy starts unloading his gear(quitting the game), and I picked up a lv.20 Halloween sword, about 40 lv.2 Els and a couple +6 lv.30 swords(nothing speacial). All I can say is wow, the Halloween sword has some impressive stats for a weapon. And after all that, my wife kills a King Bogi and it drops the Lv.15 staff(6END/6INT). And I notice the damage on that staff is better than a lv.20 one(it was 45-91 I believe, I can wear it all the way to lv.30).
Is that a lucky day or what? And I have only been playing this game for 2 weeks now.
