As a former WoW player with former WoW players as friends, many of us are refusing to acknowledge the game. A lot of game companies are going about the wrong way to avoid hacking and piracy by requiring people to connect to the Blizzard servers online to play the game. Diablo 3 is a predominantly single player game with multi-player options. Not sure if it could be considered a MMORPG really. A lot of people theorize they added the auction house as a way to add "appeal" to the fact that you have to connect to the servers to play.

But to even play single player, you have to have an internet connection which a lot of people find unfair. If Blizzard servers go down, you can't get on the game, if your net goes out, you can't get on the game.
