ESO Bulletin - 12/2/09

Now that Thanksgiving is over, the next Holiday to look forward to will be Christmas. While we prepare for various content for the occasion, we thought the community would enjoy a Holiday Sale.

Various items will be on sale starting tonight and will last until the next maintenance.

If you are looking to upgrade your items, the Stone of Peace, Light Bender Stones and Ancestral Crystal will be on sale. Maybe you need to make some changes to your character? The Ginseng Fruit and Wheel of Fortune will be on sale as well. And just in case you accidently mess up get your character killed, we also have Scape Monkeys on sale.

Grab them while you can and get ready for a festive Holiday season coming up!

Affinity Changes

In the next patch, the character affinity system will be changed. Currently each point you allocate in one of the affinities, you would increase the damage of that affinity, reduce damage from another affinity as well as increase certain statistics.

In the next patch it will be changed to two different sets of character statistics. Affinity points will only increase the affinity damage and reduce damage from another affinity. A new statistic, Attributes will be added which you can use to increase various character stats.

Every five levels you will gain 5 points to put into your Affinities, and 5 to put in your Attributes. Every player above level 10 will be able to obtain a free Wheel of Fortune from Wehn due to the major change. One Wheel of Fortune will allow you to either reset your Affinity or Attributes.

Below are the description of each Affinity and Attribute.

Affinity
Oora Affinity – Increases Oora Damage and reduces enemy Widu Damage and reduces Widu Curse Accuracy
Widu Affinity – Increases Widu Damage and reduces enemy Erda Damage and reduces Erda Curse Accuracy
Unda Affinity – Increases Unda Damage and reduces enemy Pyra Damage and reduces Pyra Curse Accuracy
Pyra Affinity – Increases Pyra Damage and reduces enemy Oora Damage and reduces Oora Curse Accuracy
Erda Affinity – Increases Erda Damage and reduces enemy Unda Damage and reduces Unda Curse Accuracy

Attributes
Attack - Each Point increases Strength and Intellect by 3
Defense - Each point increases Defense by 3, Resistance by 3 and Resilience by 0.1%
Endurance - Each point increases max HP by 20
Power - Each point increases Critstrike / Critcast rate by 0.1% and Critstrike / Critcast damage by 1%
