The same would also apply to the clerics - if I don't add END, then I don't see why I should have extra block rate since I didn't choose to use a defense stat?

What Cleric would not add END? Thats like having a Fighter add INT. It doesn't make sense and its pointless. There wouldn't be that much that would be added to the weapons. Why not just add it to Mage/Archer weapons then? Or have it higher on a certain classes weapon than another classes weapon?
