Question from a new player

This may sound dumb, but I cannot figure out how to make a purchasing store. I click 'h', then vendor, then buy, then I can't get any further. Help please?

O I hate that about the vendor... I wish there could be something like the grand exchange in runescape where u type the NAME of the item to buy and u can continue grinding when waiting
