Kidding, of course. The reason i dont like ranged players much ofthe time is because im a bit too timid with them, since ranged units are generally fragile. so... they're out.
i like damage dealing, though. so any character that can hit fast and powerfully, then get the hell out of there would be good. a tank killer, basically.

That's the trade-off lol. Ranged-classes tend to be more paper to make-up for the nuking.
Hard-hitting, escaping, Tank-killer huh? Tanks (like Rammus and Cho'gath) generally stack armor and/or HP, the only thing that counters armor is the Bloodcleaver (AND ABILITY POWER!!!) and Razors for HP. Amumu is
pro at taking down HP-stackers (you have to lol at a Cho'gath vs. Amumu match-up.) due to his Despair ability that takes a percentage of enemy's HP/second. He also has an awesome ult, a damaging AoE stun for 2.5 secs. His Tantrum ability is pretty sweet too. No real escape-mechanism though except for his bandage ability which is a skill-shot and reliant on creeps.

I'd also recommend Veigar due to his armor-penetrating AP and AoE stun, so that's a good escape mechanism. He is
NOT newb-friendly however and requires practice to play. His baleful strike adds 1AP per minion kill and 5 per Champ kill but
ONLY if BS is the last hit.

The Physical Ranged DPS can be Tank-killers, (like Teemo, Tristana, Twitch etc.) but much easier if the tank stacks HP instead of Armor. Twitch is emasculated by Rammus due to armor stacking but can much easier down Cho'gath if Twitch stacks Madred's Bloodrazors. These also have escape mechanisms, Teemo's shrooms are invisible slowers that give small LoS (line-of-sight) and damage, Tristana has an ult that can blast chasers away and a Rocket-Jump to flee, Twitch of course has stealth.

EDIT: I forgot to say, but you can use your Summoner Powers to augment your escape ability. Even the slowest melee tanks with no natural escape skills can hit hard, soak up the damage and escape with your S.Powers. Ghost increases your movement speed so you can run faster and voids unit-collision. Flash @lvl 12 teleports you a short distance away.
