well my mom uses a program called TimeControl which limits me to 2 hours a day and she can go look at everything i did in that 2 hours... programs, files downloaded and opened, everything... D:

yay for me she hasn't reinstalled it on my new pc yet... she said she will soon though ;-;

yea it was a joke (the opening says onion news network even) but it's still possible. my parents don't have facebook though. happy about that. still have to be careful with it even though i don't really use it i have to be ready to remove anything someone might put on there i don't want on there. my cousin is on there and he and one of my friends can easily tell my parents if they want to >_>

Thats horrible. Parents that shelter their kids that much don't
see the harm their causing. My computer, my room, is my personal space
and my mother respects that.. I think its cause we have a pretty open relationship though, if I go out, I call her every couple of hours to say hello so she knows I'm alright, if I'm getting home past curfew I call and leave a msg.. and if my mum does come into my room to put some clothes on my bed for me to put away, or leave me a note on my desk or anything like that, she has never snooped or done anything like that.

That video, though it was a joke, is probably true for some people...

My mom would try to limit my time on the comp or used to but that didn't work too well... and the thing is I'm the only person in the family who knows more than just opening up the browser and checking e-mail. xD

If and when I do have a kid... if they do what Mikey does (call if they're gonna be late for curfew, etc) then I don't see any problem really. As long as I know they're okay and I have an idea of where they may be. Some parents are way to protective...

Alot of parents don't realize that their over protectivness is what causes their children to rebel.

Good think you weren't born on December 31st... otherwise you wouldn't be able to talk to anyone your age.

That is ridiculous. There are far worse things than talking to someone in an online game. Granted some players on Fiesta may lower IQ points... your mom shouldn't restrict you like that. ~.~

and along with restricting me like that, they(they meaning my mom and her boyfriend... my dad is awesome XD he's fine with me chowing down on junk and playing fiesta and talking to ppl o.o he was fine when i asked if i could meet leesa irl hahah) make smoothies that taste like baby food because they stuff it down with soy protein powder and veggies...
