Associated or Bugged?
Okay, on this skill list, on the right panel.. there's Magic Missile, Fire Bolt, Magic Blast, Ice Bolt, Ice Blast.
I just got Ice Blast today, and decided to test it out. And I noticed something strange..
When I casted Ice Bolt.. Ice Blast started to cool down o.O when I haven't even casted it. I assume they're some how linked? |

Maybe Ice Blast is just a higher lvl version of Ice Bolt?

Thats what I was thinking.. but then I thought.. shouldn't it be the same with Magic Missile and Magic Blast?
When I cast Ice Bolt and Ice Blast, they don't look the same, like the magic's.

From what I have read and researched, Ice Blast is connected to Ice Bolt, but that is the only one. The other ones, such as Fire Ball, Magic Blast, and Lightning Blast are independent from their counterparts (for lack of a better word).
But speaking of skills for Mages, is Purge really worth 16 silver?????

I forget where I read it but some spells with high level counterparts are linked with cooltimes.
This makes me think, what is you max cool time on one, does it go to both?

Disclaimer: Just examples, may not be actual cooldown times.
On the skills that are linked to each other, if you have one with a 5 sec. cooldown and one with a 15 sec. cooldown time, then if you use the skill with a 15 sec. cooldown, it will take the other skill 15 secs. to cooldown. If you use the one with a 5 sec. coolsown, then it will only take 5 secs. for both skills to cooldown.
Did that make sense?

The Concussive Charge (Single Stun) and Devastate (AoE stun) skills on a fighter are linked like that, too. And the cooltime is determined by which one you use, like Spirit said. I was very disappointed. I was hoping I'd get another chance if one stun failed.

Ice Blast is the only spell directly linked to its weaker counterpart.
Magic Blast, Fire Ball, and Lightning Blast are all independent of their respective weaker counterparts.
