Why is it when I rant everyone's like "OMFG U STPD N0OB!! UR @ LSR!! GTFO!!!" but when someone like Yosei does it is all like "OMG! i n0 ur pein! D:"? /wrists

Anyways, I kinda did something bad the other day. I was in a group in Burning Hills and we were running over to the entrance to kill off some Marlone Clan Archers and Marlone Clan Megatons when someone in our group spotted a treasure chest. Well, I know what some treasure chests contain so I was all like "OMFG! GOTTA GET IT!" so I dropped out of the group, ran over, and began opening it as the others fought off some Marlone Clan Megatons. Of course I picked up everything and after that, I left. They started whispering me and yelling at me because of it saying "OMG i cnt beliv u ninja'd tat!!! U N0OB!!!!11".

I mean, don't get me wrong, I am a generous person. But when i'm broke and need to buy level 20+ gear, I have to resort to desperate measures. Its safe to say, I didn't get a damn good thing out of it. And all I did was make four new enemies. Three from my group and another guy whom my friend was partying with who got into our business because my friend doesn't know what the hell a whisper is. @_@

Sure desperate times demands desperate measures, but you got to know when to draw the line. What you did was uncalled for. And btw if you don't know, maybe those 4 ex-party members have friends; and those friends have even more friends. Next thing you know, you ain't partying with anyone. And that's how you tarnish your reputation. Then you come here, again, and blab on and on about your "unfortunate" adventures. Don't expect any sympathy then.
The way it should have been handled, was to sequential the loot and that's that. A spur of the moment can burn you a lifetime.

Thats so selfish, and mean. Having no money is no excuse.. I had a friend who had 1s and needed to buy himself his lvl 50 sword and shield.
Farming is an honest way to earn money.

Explain to me how it was uncalled for. I've got plenty of friends I can party with so it ain't no big deal if a bunch of little kids despise me. Go on the Apoline server and ask around for Messara. See what your responses are. 99.9% of them will be bad. I don't come here for sympathy, far from it actually. I just come here to let loose a little steam, thats it. A lifetime of what? Kids screaming at me because I took one simple Treasure Chest with nothing good in it? The best thing in it was a useless Elrue [2]. Which was pretty much worthless so I NPC'd it. Besides, why should I have shared with them? They were taking everything anyways. So I think stealing some meager crap that was worth less than 1s was pretty fair.

Anyway for the issue of this, yes its very wrong IMO for all this greed. But what can you expect? Good thing is that what they do is banable.

Now...if this was the battle zone (high exp but open pvp areas) I wouldn't show no mercy to others regardless of ANYTHING.

I think your reputation is somewhat important. I mean, just because its online doesn't mean they aren't people, and they aren't all little kids. I'm 21 ffs lol and have people in my guild who are older =p Sure I've gone off on people who deserved it on occasion but after that I drop it and no longer care, and show them common courtesy after so there are no reasons to hold grudges. If they do, then its their fault. Life's too short to waste negativity on. Even online =p

Yeah.. they might not be right there next to you in person, but still.. its a person playing that. We play this game as a way to have fun in our free time, and it gets ruinned if theres greedy inconsiderate idiots.
