When you see a high levelled cleric in MD

BLAAAAAAHS!!!!!!!!!!!! I know how you feel. So since my main computer went down I play on my laggy laptop. For KQ it really only lags on entry into the KQ. I go into a MD with Spirit and Loki and they pick up two clerics for the party. I am thinking really cool cause I need the MD kill and I plan on tanking or at least co-tanking the beast.

So Of course I lag getting in and have to catch up so I use a bunch of stones and pots to get through the baddies and catch up. So all is well and good until we get to MD. I am co-tanking with two clerics in my party. I went through almost every stone and pot that I had and had to be reved twice.

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a tank here. You are a cleric. HEAL ME!!!!!!!

I was so mad and frustrated that I just kept spamming all my skills pots stones and magic pot (which I killed all of), but in the end I got the MD kill (Loki swears she got the kill shot.)

Ohhh and does anyone understand what Mob Control is anymore. I mean I had to kill all the mobs coming off MD as well.

This getting the MD stuck has caused people not to know what to do when we don’t get it stuck.


Ohhh and Andromeda you can run and hide but the steak will find you.

yeah well i got something to say on that too. clerics around may not agree but hear me out anyways i get to think i'm pretty much experienced in this matter.

First of all clerics got the worst damage output out of all fiesta classes. ''Yeah but elfenlied did KKP solo and he's pure STR!'' Yeah but he could have done it with pure INT with all the thousand buff pots, scrolls and whatever he had with him so don't get his case up. so clerics have the lowest damage outpout out of all fiesta classes. Sure they got the second best def in the game but that doesn't mean they make good tanker OR fighter. In solo a cleric is the greatest cause it can subsist for a very long time for the lowest cost of pots/stones without mentioning his pretty good def. When they get in KQ or a party, a cleric becomes the worst tanker ever and that's when the class ability and not the person's ability have to be shown. for instance a mage who got pretty good def or evasion or life or whatever can boast that he soloed 60 levels in a row. Okay! Gratsies but in KQ it's your ability to cast offensive magics that counts! Okay maybe you can deal 1000 damages with your uber fighter sword but in party or KQ whatever what you do, if you're a fighter, people will expect you to be the one to tank the mob, in short, what people call affectionally their ''meatshield'' . Now back to the point. Cleric becomes the worst tanker ever. Why? because it can't hold aggro! what's the point of tanking if it goes visit every damn mages and archers that were shooting on him before you and kill them first? ''Yeah don't you know clanks?'' okay sure sometimes in events like fight a boss i used to tank KKP alone but that is an exceptions KKP didn't stay on me because of damages but because i was the only one inside a 25 meters radius around him. But then a cleric can't tank and that's where ''the class ability'' comes in. Clerics are made with the unique ability to heal. As much as you want to fight, fighters can't heal, mages can't heal, archers can't heal so you must fulfill your healing duty! Also the level don't mean anything sometimes. It depends on the person. i met level 70+ noobs so far (no names don't worry) and i saw level 10+ that were smarter.If you need other comparisons i had a friend that used to have A+ on all his exams but he was as stupid as a door! (and for a punchline YES a door IS stupid!).
so i pretty much resumed it, you got armor but because of the lowest damage you can inflict, no mobs will ever stay focused on you when he got 3 times more powerful oponnent shooting him (powerful in terms of damages)

As for not being there, there are just a-holes like that. Leeching KQ's! I saw this guy in spider KQ. level 60+! hey that's a whole load of levels there he shouldn't be a noob! Nah he stand in the back of the room, shrrom there and when we go out for ultras and eventually GS, he'd go out, aggro all kinds of mobs on his way, die right next to us giving us all the mobs that were stuck and that got unstuck following him and then he goes ''rev pls... Are we getting GS?''. The type of people that only look at his own damn interest sickens me like hell! Also doing 2 things at the same time never is winner. you're less focused on the two. first her drawing would be rubbish and second her KQ would fail when she could focus on a KQ, win it, then relax and do her wonderful drawing without anyone being pissed at her!

So in short a cleric is made to heal, not to tank. keep tanking for solo grinding.

With that said, please don,t send me any insults or anything if you don't agree with my essay here, just say it i respect that but i don't need to be attacked. In fact i'd like positive comments about it ^^ if i get enough i might even turn this essay into a thread XD

Acually it the attitude of the player.... if he/she wan to chose cleric then they must know they got to heal, nowsaday very very hard to find cleric who can heal their own party. they dun care and jus wan to save pot and stone. while the rest of the people just spam their stone and pot like crazy ..... it like 1/40 chances of getting a good cleric. they tink they can fight not just healing oni... but a good cleric must be the one who know how to protect his/her party without dieing if possible, if not dun choose cleric if they like to attack then go take fighter instead. tank until u die oso no one will say u are not a good fighter. that why in the later part cleric got a skill call sacrifice ( when die party member health auto recover)... if the cleric cant do this then can jus go and eaten up by the MD for Dinner.....

but one thing is that some player in he game always take them for granted in the end , good cleric oso become bad cleric, that why i always got the courtesy to thank them back.

as for the 1:40 odds of getting a good cleric, in my experience I have always had the priveledge of partying with good clerics

Actually I was in a KQ today where I and one other person were the only clerics who HEALED and the other had broken her lvl 50 weapon and was using a lvl 15 mace....
I was wondering to myself if you have a lvl 15 mace. why join a KQ whe your lvl 50 ?!

And we got MD stuck in a few seconds so she couldnt do anything and sat in a mushroom for the wholee fight...

@wompastompa: Please do not double/triple post, use the edit button. Also, be respectful. Calling someone a 5th grader is considered an insult and will result in a warning/infraction. I understood taylor's post pretty well myself.


@Evarista's post: Yeah. Just to clear up some confusion though (I think), I'm just ranting about clerics who don't heal when they can, because I do think clerics can tank - when needed, i.e. there's no other efficient tanker that can survive the jump. I've tanked MD several times before as a cleric because we didn't have a tanker. But yeah, I'd heal my party mates any time while I'm tanking MD if they're close enough. Can't really walk around with MD on my back since it'd jump and kill everyone.

I guess to me, tanking isn't all about damage. It's about holding aggro and surviving the hits. I don't use my damage to hold aggro, I use my heals. Sometimes it will take a while for me to keep aggro (MD probably runs to the squishies once or twice), but when I do, even a fighter can't kick it off me.

But I realise that many clerics try to tank by using their damage. I'm not full STR so I don't know how strong clerics can be being full STR, but I don't know if it's strong enough compared to damages done by other classes. Of course, it is possible to hold aggro with your damage as a cleric, just that I think spam heal/rejuv is more efficient. But I'm not a damage build so I do jack on MD.
