They Spit In Your Food- When people complain at...

LOL Recently I started to believe that restaurants deserves our feedback... I wouldn't make them remake the food (hell no, I'm worried that they'll spit in my food too), but I'll tell them what's wrong with it at the end if it was really bad..

Last time I went to a very very posh restaurant where food there was meant to be AMAZING.. but there was this one dish that was so salty that i could only have 1/3 of it... It's a degustation menu so they can see that you haven't finished your food... so I had to tell them that I found the dish rather salty... and I think Kev was really embarrassed that I said something about it LOL

I would never tell them anything or have them remake the food. But not because I'm afraid of them spitting in it or anything, just cause I'm a wuss who hates confrontation. I would eat that shoe too.

It really depends what kind of restaurant it is; standards, how busy they are, etc

HAHAHA I think it's an age thing.. I'm reading some of the youtube comments are most people are like "no I wont say anything, hate it when my mum say stuff"

I'm finding that as you get older, you're more open in giving some friendly feedback.. (maybe coz we feel more experienced with food to give a real feedback?)

I'm putting myself in the restaurant's shoes.. If I am making food that my customers don't like, I want them to tell me so I can improve..

Though I don't usually go out of my way to tell them my thoughts, only if they ask "how was your food?" and if I find that it's really really bad.. 99% of the time it's "great thanks!"

Yeah true.. we only usually say stuff at more expensive restaurants.. coz we paid so much for the food, it should've been perfect!

I think a lot of it has to do with the chefs' mentality. Some are really driven, eager to improve and generally have high standards. Then there are those who just work for money and to pump out mass amounts of food and want to get cover turnovers quickly (mostly in cheaper or less fancy restaurants). Sometimes there are chefs with big egos and don't take criticism well either.
