Help Lirange with his Math

Solve for x and list restrictions for variables.
I'm having difficulty with these problems-_-.

1) .5(2x+3/4)-1/3(.1+x)=1
x+.375-.03(forever)+-1/3=1 (Distribute)
The .0333333 is what screws me up. I think if I leave -1/3*.1 as a decimal I'll get it right but I don't know how to do thatxD. Forgot basic multiplication.

2) cx-b=ax+d
cx=ax+d+b (move b over)
This is where I'm stuck. How do I make it so x is alone?

2) cx-ax=d+b
x(c-a)=d+b
x=(d+b)/(c-a)

I factored out the x.

x*(c-a)=xc-xa

http://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/expanding.html

it shows how x(c-a) --> cx - ax

Which means you can go backwards and get cx-ax -> x(c-a)

I did the first one but I cbb to type out all the fractions.

Just change all your decimals to fractions. That helps a lot.

Then multiply by the inverse of the fraction that's in front of the parenthesis and a lot of stuff cancels out.

Then it's just simplifying and plugging it into a calculator.

So it'll end up being (3/8)-(-2/3)? I get a long decimal after that. How do I make that into a fraction on a graphing calculator?xD

I don't think that's what I got...

But I don't have a calculator on me.

Idk.

Ask Triumph or somebody.

On your graphing calculator, you should have a button that has F->D or something. But you should just do it on a normal calculator if you have one. I still use a TI-32 for all my classes.
