If I copy the starcraft folder into a dvd, just so the files are safe, if my computer ever gets rebooted i'll be able to just copy and paste the files in with no problems right? I lost the first starcraft cd and the keygen>.>

Technically yes. But there will be no registry entries in the OS that the game is actually installed, so for one thing, you won't be able to install any patches, addons, extensions, etc.
