The food thing is basically a ramen-like product, you boil it for a bit and it's ready to eat. The pod has a pot/hotplate type deal where you can prepare the meal without leaving.

LOL i dont understand the bit where it said when the gamer has eaten, the game character would feel refreshed too....

Is that just a reference to say that they ate and now has energy to play better?
