I've been trying to do it but all methods have been failling.

If you want to rip music from a Youtube video you need a Sound Recorder that directly copies what is currently going through your sound card.

Audacity does that.

XD I did this like a few days ago, I downloaded OJOsoft Total Video Converter,
See if you can get a copy with the key thing with it, otherwise it only transfers 20% of the item xD
