Grinding Sucks

So anyone who has played this game for a minute knows that eventualy you quit gaining levels at a rate of three per hour and run into the grind. Everyone hates it, and quests only go so far. So what do you do to avoid the monotny of the grind? Do you listen to music, and if so, what?? Do you troll the FF forums? Do you talk to friends? Grind alone? Grind in a party? Tell me, how do you relieve the boredom that sets in during the grind?

I like to listen to music and troll FF. Of late I have found that Metallica is great music to grind to. Oppressing ghosts repeateable quest flys by while I have Metallica on.

So tell me, what do YOU do?

I help friends with their quests or take lower level guildies to the higher level maps and help them level. I am concentrated on helping them, that I don't notice that I am also gaining.

Usually, when I solo, I concentrate on my stone usage and skills .___. It works for me somehow, haha. I look for the amount of stones I use without resting and memorize when I need to stone so that hopefully the ratio of hp to sp stones is high on the hp end. And then I count the seconds of cooldown and try to chaincast my skills so that I can kill continuously. It works miraculously for quests that call for an enormous amount of a SINGLE BLASTED mob xD

I also have a habit of putting my earphones on but not listening to music, just the effect noises of fiesta o__o Putting on the earphones makes the mouse clicking and typing sounds dimmer, which is somehow appealing to my ears = =

Well, on my fighter, i tend to chat when grinding with a party. I'm always fond of people talking and participating effectively. Haven't met many, though. Some talk too much and don't help at all. Some don't talk and just grind. lol

So really, you just keep partying and see if someone interesting turns up. =]

I usualy only grind solo unless my wife is online. Shes my cleric. I can solo alot of things when shes online but shes a lower level which kinda sucks cause fighting is harder when you have someone to protect but she does heal me so its a good trade off.
