I was reading on the happy seed post and i heard them talking about treasure chests and pets. I didnt want to go off topic so i post here.

So what do pets do? Can they pick up ur drops? Boost Stats?
And where can i find a treasure chests? Are there any requirements for having a pet or opening a chest?

Pets sit in your shoulder and boost stats. The ones you can find in chests are Slimes, Kebings, and Honeyings. They all boost your stats by +1. There are CS item pets that boost your stats by varying amounts.

As far as chests, you don't need any special skills or equipment as far as I know. I don't think I've ever tried opening one without a pickaxe on me, though. I keep one on hand.

They sit there and look cute + provide a minor stat-boost like Hrae said.


They can be found from treasure-chests that spawn in about the same location every time.
