Interesting Advice~

Someone I got in a forward email. Usually forward emails have a lot of crap in it, but this one makes a bit of sense!

I never thought of this.......but its great advice!!

This lady has changed her habit of how she lists the names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet... etc...

20 minutes later when she called her husband, from a pay phone telling
him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.'

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the
money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen
cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin
number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their
bank account.



Moral of the lesson: Do not dis close the relationship between you and
the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey,
Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc.... And very importantly, when
sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back.

Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them
somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

I'm gonna rename all my "mum, dad, boyfriend" to "Police Station 1, Police Station 2, Police Station 3" LOL

That reminded me of this prank i heard..

when my bf's sister got married, a day before the wedding day the to-be-groom was out for dinner with his frds... then in the middle of dinner, he got a text msg from his wife that said "I'm pregnant!"

He had this shocked/disbelieve looked on his face and all his frds took a photo of it!

Turned out that one of his frds (call him A) somehow got hold of his phone, renamed A's contact to the wife's name, and sent him that msg (so the text came out as if it was from the wife)...

It was hilarious, and apparently that photo of his reaction is worth gold LOL
