Installing older ATI catalyst drivers

Soo I went and updated the driver to 11.8 when it prompted me to do so andddd now I'm regretting it (yess I know I shouldn't have done it if you're about to nag me about it)

Anyway how do you exactly install older versions? I tried to install it last night but it didn't go back to the older version. I can't find anything on google... should I follow guides to completely uninstall the driver, and then reinstall an older version? I'm just hesitant about uninstalling the driver completely because I dunno what that'll do.. like.. can I stilll see my screen to install the new one.. LOL

ALso I find stuff about needing to clear registries but I don't exactly know how to use CC cleaner and wasn't sure how I can find/remove ATI registries only @_@

Oh yes I wanted to install older versions because it's making one of my monitors flicker (I have two - one connected with a HDMI cable and the other with a DVI.. I think. The one with DVI is flickering).

Same problem occurred when I installed version 11.6, but there was a hotfix for that version and it fixed it for me. So I'm trying to go back to 11.6 and intall the hotfix to remove the flickering.

If you uninstall the driver windows will use a default driver, you'll prob only get some really low resolution but it's enough to be usable.

Are you sure the problem is the video card or driver? Could be the monitor or cable. Might want to try a different monitor and/or cable if you can.

Yep it's the driver, because it only started happening after I installed the new one.

I just successfully reinstalled the old one so I think it's all fixed now. Thanks!
