I thought car parks are generally private properties anyway.. I thought the laws on a private property would be different..

Though I think she should be able to appeal to that, and the court will probably brush that off..

Heh, and here in Vancouver it is now illegal to drive while on a cellphone which is a good thing because it is dangerous and all. But guess who was behind the wheel while talking on a cellphone?

Road traffic Police are the worst form of Police.. I don't like dissing police but they are so corrupted!

They park in the most obstructive No Stopping zones and then turn around and fine people for dropping people off for 2 seconds..

Er, isn't there some sort of traffic court? Here, at least, you can actually have a trial if you want to fight the charges.

Yeah, the police are just... awesome. I liked the time when they pulled someone over and parked right in the middle of the road. Or how they zip through the 30 km/hr school zone... sigh.

Yeah you can challenge it.. and if this girl did, I'm pretty certain she would win..

My bf had a stupid fine hit him too.. he got a lawyer to appeal it and won.. but that took a whole year to happen... during the whole year, they kept sending him reminders and warnings for him to pay up...
