Nope, you can't stop them. Your only option is to level up as fast as possible and then you'll be able to buy more property, allowing you to gain more money faster than they can take it. Increase your Defense to protect from attack and increasing your mafia will help too.

what about those weapons / armours / vehicle upkeep cost? if i put all my money in the bank, will they just not cost me money to upkeep them?

Yes, it takes 10% of whatever you put in. Put in 1 million, it really only puts in 900,000.

And it will take upkeep out of your bank.

this is weird, coz i also have Street Racing game, and that game I've got soooooooooooooo much money that i dont even know where to spend it on... but with Mafia I struggle to get enough money to buy a gun~

I have $3 million in the bank in cuba with 600k on hand.
