so there was that however there's something else i forgot ot mention. that network that my uncle loves so much is a piece of sh*t
i've always had problems with it disconnecting me from the internet for no reason (though much of the problem was probably them). also sometimes my computer couldn't eve properly connect to it (that limited or no connectivity thing that really means you're not getting anything)
yet my old network always worked just fine for me besides the slow modem. well like a week ago i finally had enough and pulled the old switcharoo. connected my good network to the cable modem and put his shitty one on the dsl
. they switched places exactly. mine is where his was and his is where mine was (within 3cm i assure you

well guess what? i wasn't having any problems with mine still but he was having problems with his. he couldn't connect to it even though it was in the same place as mine was and nobody had problems connected to mine but we've had a history of problems with his.
it of course didn't take them long to realize this but what could they do? if they tried to switch them back i'd just switch them again and really they couldn't complain cause they could still connect to the cable modem just fine which is what they wanted.
HOWEVER that aunt of mine just refuses to listen and continues to use bitcomet. just like before i switched the networks i started having problems from 4:30am - 11:00 am. i went through all teh trouble of helping her setup utorrent (which like i've said i've run that and a game just fine before) with proper bandwidth restrictions and she won't use it. blocking the listening port for bitcomet doesn't help either. i figured it would at least slow it down but alas this did not work as planned.
oh and what did she say about the networks being switched?

before they moved in i made it quite clear that i run the networks around here. i know all the passwords and they know none. if something goes wrong i fix it. and i fixed this problem quite well. starting that night every tiem i started to lag in a game i blocked their comp from the internet and that fixed it perfectly
except tonight i decided to be nice and after it was blocked for a good amount of time i let it go again but of course the network died and i eventually had to get off my lazy ass and restart it.

now if you please excuse me i have a fighter to get to 20 and turn into a warrior, a mage to get to 20 and turn into a cleric, and a mercenary to aoe with just cause i like killing stuff with it
