Shops/Market Place
Hi guys ^_^ this forum has been pretty helpful at setting my fighter character but I have one question that i can't seem to find via search/asking.
How is Fiesta online's marketplace setup? I'm looking for low end equipment and more importantly old ingrediants but i can't seem to find any order in the scatter of shops about. 90% of it seems to be high level cleric items?
So far i've assumed Elderine center (near storage/stairs) seems to be the place to get the most shops. Roumen seems pretty empty and has insanely random items. The blacksmiths seem to be the place to sell elures/lix's. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I also have no clue on pricing at the moment, i'm trying to buy old dust's for 40ea but i'm not sure if thats enough

Good luck. Last I checked the economy was really wild with pricing fluctuations. In addition to the stairs/storage area in Elderine, there is usually a healthy amount of shops around the blacksmith.
Roumen has a designated marketplace area around the storage person. Uruga is all clumped together in town, too. Hard to miss.

if you able to find dim dust, give me a head up i can decompose for yah and it much much easier, cost you nothing... or if you want to buy em at 40c well i can make 1000 of each kinds and sell em to you ^.^ ... you won't be able to find mch lower lvl 30 item with stats at all... all my collection usually are from lvl 30 up, though i got a good 1h 9str 10end lvl 20, and str, 10end, some dex hammer lvl 20, and i call those godly for those lvl, b/c it hard to come by, other than that i'm just using +9 lvl 20 stuff... instead of looking for green stats, ...

You dont say what server you are on but I know that on teva Roumen seems pretty empty. That could be in your favor. I think the reason Roumen has been so empty is because OS has made the passing the lower levels quicker than they were in the past, and plp move on to eldy. There are fewer buyers
and lots of plp that need $$ and don't yet know what else to do with their drops
To set your buy price go to your main competion, the ncp, and see what they will pay. When someone opens your buy store window and places the mouse on an item the window that opens shows the npc price for that item.
Old dusts at 40c is way to much, maybe even more that at nina in eldy where you can buy all the t1 mats you want and spend your money. This is how many plp build their production skills. At 40c each that is 360c to make an elrue. You can buy t1 elrue from the item merchant for 270c.
As I recall I was buying old dusts for 16c in Roumen at my start. I set up my shop at the edge of the woods on the path to storage and item npc. The two places someone with an inv load are likely to go.

There are many tiny reasons which create a huge problem.
The number one reason is simply that more money is entering the game than is leaving.
Unfortunately, the only way to create an inflation less economy is simply socialism or something similar to that political agenda.
In any free economy game, there are always 3 types of people:
1) Players who earn more than they spend. These people are master merchants, gold farmer types, or savers.
2) Players who spend as much as they earn. These are your normal players. They earn 500s, they spend 500s. These players do not impact the economy at all.
3) Gold buyers. They dont earn anything, they just buy and spend. Spend. Spend. Spend.
Players in this category are the ones who really inflate prices. They end up out bidding normal players (prices go up a little) and then eventually are only bidding against other gold buyers or players from category 1 (prices go up a lot).
Once players in type 1 recognize this need, they either farm more gold and sell it to player type 3's or inflate their merchant prices noticing a higher spike in prices.
This is a vicious cycle.
To further make ir worse, now, comes the fact that money is barely being removed from the game EG: Players buying blacksmith armor.
Because player demand for good items is increasing, more people are on the lookout and the poor blacksmith doesnt have any paying customers. The only NPC is Merchant Pey and Healer Julia, but, they dont nearly remove enough money from the economy to pose any significant chance of balance.
If you want a balanced economy, then the its simple. However, no one would want to play. The game would basically have a currency that can be used at vendors only, and all trades between players are free. By having this, there is now no reason to have money at all. It wouldnt be fun.
