I think the population in runescape's enormous because the game's simple to download and backs a lot of features. Graphic wise the game is horrible, but that's also it's strongpoint - old computers and dial up users (no they're not extinct yet) can fully enjoy it.

Otherwise I've got no lead on this one.

I don't know why people hate on Runescape so much. No, it doesn't have amazing graphics. But seriously. When do good graphics=good game?

In fact, I think there is a lot more to do in Runescape than there is to do in even Fiesta... In Runescape, you can level up so many other skills like your metalworking or your fishing or your cooking or whatever. You can smelt your own armor. Also, the quests in Runescape are actually interesting and different not just... "Kill 35 monsters," or "Farm weeds."

I'm not saying Runescape is a better game than xxxx, but there are a lot of good things in Runescape...

Yeah, I agree with good graphics =/= good game. But, Runescape is just boring to me... yeah, you can work on cooking and stuff, but to me, that's boring just to work on that. I'd rather just level up myself, which is why I can never work on my decomper because I have to farm stuff... which is boring.

Also, really? Runescape #2? Right behind Guild Wars?

I thought it would have ranked lower at somewhere around the middle of the list.

I made it to 60 something on runescape back in the day.

It gets soooo boring after awhile.

and if your not a member its not even worth playing after the 30s.

plus i hate point and click games.

i need to use the keyboard for it to be fun to me
