Playing favorites? Failure.
Look at this thread, and this post.
The role of a Community Leader defined:

Basically keeping a pleasant social environment for all to enjoy. CLs are NOT Customer Service Representatives. If you have any account or billing issues, you MUST contact our support at http://support.outspark.com/
Please remember that when in-game, treat a CL like any other player. While our CLs love to help our Outspark staff members and other players like yourself, please try to be courteous when asking for help in-game. Their powers and abilities stay on the forums while in-game and they wish to enjoy the game as much as you do. For the most part, they do not know any more information about what is to come in our games than any of you.
CLs do not receive special treatment from Outspark staff nor do they ask for any special treatment as the role is purely voluntary. They can choose to leave at any time without prior notice and Outspark can choose to remove their CL "powers" at any time for any reason. Outspark does however provide a form of compensation as a token of appreciation for all their hard work.

Lol. As SKiNG's post says, CL's are normal players given forum moderation abilities to keep the peace. Intrinsically, CL's are expected to treat players courteously, equally, and fairly and vice versa; unless the unspoken law changed, I did not know that treating equally has suddenly meant that a particular individual shines above others, or should have an utterly meaningless thread stickied above more technical threads that provide legitimate assistance.
Maybe I'm growing more cynical. Sorry Yosei, but clearly some CL's are not performing their jobs appropriately, nor adequately.
Perish the thought! He's the Lead Community Leader!
What a display of positively excellent leadership. My commendations.
Doubtlessly I will be flamed.

SKiNG made that announcement because of personal issues the CLs have with fellow players. I requested an announcement a bit back asking for him to tell the differences between GMs, GLs, and CLs, because a lot of people bother me constantly in-game with stuff I cannot do. I remember a few weeks back:
Person: ____ needs to be jailed.
Me: Um.. why?
Person: (reason here, I forgot why)
Me: screenshot it and send it to Fiesta_Help or whisper a GL.
Person: Nei isn't on.
Me: then PM Fiesta_Help
Person: Can't you do something?
Me: I'm only a CL..
Person: Yeah so?
Me: my abilities are limited to the forums, I cannot jail people.
Person: Can't you get a GM to do it?
That was very rude... and I had to stop what I was doing to have this conversation with the person, which got neither of us anywhere in the end. When the GLs are on... they're working, when the CLs are on, they're playing.
Also.. people assume just because I'm a CL, they give me stuff like candy, when in reality, I don't. I have to use the Fiesta store to get my stuff just like everyone else. Sure I have closer ties to GMs and staff, but that is so they can keep an eye on us and make sure we're not doing anything wrong, and if we do, they can smack our hands for it.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion about us, but when people think we're just lapdogs who get a dog treat for every little thing we do, it makes me want to scream it out to everyone that that is not the way it is with us. I don't want people thinking I'm some lap dog. I wouldn't call it favoritism, but yeah, they do know us better than most players, but thats just by us being CLs, they have to talk to us more to teach us what and what not to do.

Have other members in the past held open invitations to events like this and posted on the officials? If they have and their posts weren't stickied and there is no sort of directive that player-ran events will be stickied, then I'd agree this is showing a bit of favouritism. But, if they sticky more stuff like this (until the event is completed), I can't really call it favouritism.

Yeah, I personally don't think it should have been stuck. But one CL rule is to not act against another CL without talking to them. Basically... if one CL stickies something, I can't just unstick it.

I think we already have something like that in our "stickies" sticky. Or GM Help sticky x.x can't remember. I try not to sticky too many things. I keep asking the GMs to use the announcement section more. And if we wanna sticky something of a players... just add it to our "stickies" sticky.

Yah well, the sticky there is just a link, and the zues came in to my guide and went:
"This should be stickied"
xD
Still, I'm interested to see if Serric stickies more things like that.

I believe the order of the stickies depends on the date of the last post. obviously the bday bash post has the most current post, hence it at the top. It has nothing to do with the "importance" of the thread.
But TBH, I dont think that is sticky materials either. But, I didn't really have an issue of it being stickied either...
And i've always thought the favourism issue was more directed for GMs not favouring any players, (i think its in their job description or something). I dont think that was ever enforced for CLs...
But none the less.. this might set an example that CLs should sticky other players events from now on.. (and i'll hate to see 5 stickies with players random events in the future... there's enough stickies as it is..)

I believe that has no right to be stickied.

I have no idea why this deserves to be stickied.
This has nothing to do with the game Fiesta in General that is of that much importance.
Serric?

I pay to play the RL MMORPG, College. 4 years grinding in college gets you a piece of paper for the rest of your life and you can buy enough stuff to +9 your car//house.

What I meant was that certain threads of higher use are not stickied, whereas this one is stickied, and provides no information other than a (pardon my language) CL-fanboy's birthday.
Not to say I'm criticizing CL's, they do a good job, but sometimes certain CL's commit acts that are...questionable, to say the least.
