How dare they?
http://outspark.com/forums/announcement.php?f=9
How dare they do that...? Don't they realize just how many people are gonna rant day and night about this? Plus, those who just bought CashShop items just lost out on their money, and every European who was playing Fiesta since the CB they will be pissed because they will lose their characters. Honestly, what were they thinking?

It may have been something that they could not have prevented. Do you think that they like the fact that they are fixing to lose customers? It hurts them also.
Yes, it sucks bad for all the European IP users and I really hate it for them.
But, it may not have been something Outspark had control over.

Outspark is probably hurting more than its users since there are alot of European players.
Safe to say Outspark is probably more upset at this than the users.

I just see a massive incoming use of proxy agents, and IP-modifiers.

Can't really blame Outspark for this one.
And I don't see it changing unless Outspark decides to buy the license from the European company, which I don't see it happening.

My concern is that once people start using proxys and IP-mods, more developed hacks will follow.

I will state up front that I do not know enough about this situation or all the business dealings that went onbehind closed doors.
But, to me if Outspark demanded US IPs be banned, why not Gamigo just refuse?
But, again, I still think that Outspark hated to see this happen. They lose players, they lose money.

I believe at least one of the Teva major merchants is affected by this. Just a random observation.

Oh god I forgot about that famous cleric on teva he will be gone too now..
Just wait until he sees that topic although I dislike the guy I have to feel for him with all the hours and money he has put into his cleric.

Like? Fiesta files are ridiculously easy to manipulate, and bypassing X-trap isn't all that hard. It just won't be like GunZ in the old days.

Outspark holds exclusive rights to the United States in terms of licensing rights and Fiesta. If Outspark demands US IPs to be banned in Gamigo, then Gamigo is legally obliged to comply. It appears that Gamigo decided to return the favor by demanding EU IPs to be banned. Again, the same legalities apply.
Since Outspark probably doesn't want to appear weak at the negotiating table to Gamigo, they most likely did not propose to revert the situation and try to start anew. Consequently, their pride has cost many players quite a bit.
Politics ftl, ego ftl, and greed ftl.

I was once higher level than him, imagine that. Though I do concur that if he loses his character after that much work, despite my grievances towards merchants, a fate like that is not meant to be.
