Fiesta Gameplay Opinions
Hi, yeah I'm a noob. I'm going to ask if the game is really something you really like and love to play.
I pretty much haven't played the game yet. But I do have high hopes for it. The download takes to long and sometimes my browser stops downloading when my internet gets disconnected, and it does that sometimes.
So, so far, in CB2, what do you guys like about the game? What do you guys don't like in the game? How is your overall experience playing the game?
Just want some opinions so I could get myself a little bit more interested. Thanks!

Well I like it. It's more fun that FlyFF, although I'm probably biased since I don't really like FlyFF. Anyways, there's more quests to do (sometimes so many that you end up skipping some), unlike FlyFF where quests are repetitive and you get 20% exp each time. In Fiesta, there are more variety of rewards, and sometimes they are awesome rewards. I really like doing Kingdom Quests, because I haven't played any games with those yet (although I know there are other games with quests like that) and it's fun in general. There are a lot of maps and it takes forever to explore them all. Skills are pretty. Enhanced weapons are pretty. I like the graphics. Yeahhhh :3
The down sides are probably the chat system which I get annoyed at.. I always type numbers when I'm trying to use skills. Sometimes levelling takes forever, but the KQs and normal quests make up for it sometimes (so it kinda forces you to do them.. which I don't mind). Oh and I hate how poisoning and things like that lasts for 5 minutes. =(
Well anyway I like it over all. I just can't wait till it's open beta where it should be almost bug free! =D Oh and I like the party system. You know how in FlyFF, once you get to higher levels, you have to split up in pairs in separate places? Well I reckon that makes the game boring because you can only interact with one person, and you don't even talk to the other people in the party. But I don't think it's like this for this game and you'll need the whole party together which is more fun and less boring. But then again I could be wrong since I'm not very high level... so yeah. :3

I suggest you use Free Download Manager to download the program, as it has an overwhelming file size. With FDM you can resume the download if you ever get disconnected. You can find it here: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
As for Fiesta, I'm very much fond of it, as it introduces elements you don't often see in free MMO's. The fact that's it's going to be free for life is an element in itself. However, the best part of Fiesta in my opinion are the Kingdom Quests, they're an optional quest that occur every two hours. You group up with another 14 people and try to complete the quests requirements, and if successful you'll get a generous amount of experience, and if your luck is any good, a nice prize (ranges from things as rare as weapons to things as common as potions).
Other things I'd like to list that Fiesta offers:
Quote:
|
The ability to license weapons for extra damage
The ability to upgrade weapons for extra damage
Production skills, allowing you to create potions or scrolls (scrolls enhance your characters stats like HP, SP, DEF etc.)
The party systems pretty good, you can set it so all items are shared equally, or make it a free for all. Either way, the exp when joining a party is excellent. Partying also becomes an integral part of levelling later.
The abundance of quests, you'll get more quests then you can handle and these keep you either stimulated or frustrated. But if you ever get sick of grinding, you can always turn to a quest for a good sum of experience/money. Some quests only require you to talk and listen to complete them (my personal favorite type of quest).
The graphics are a definite plus. They're cute. Sometimes I just go into my mushroom because it's so adorable.
The ability to create a purchase/selling store, reducing public spamming (i.e "S> ITEM XX FOR COST XX" being spammed in the chat window every second). Unfortunately spam still happens on the occasion, but I guess that can't be helped.
GM Events. While they screw up the economy, they're exceptionally fun. Infinite chests of rare goodies anyone? Or how about a mini-dragon for the entire town to defeat? Well, just know that the GM is somewhat active, and if there isn't a GM around to answer your questions, you can always shout it and expect a friendly reply (might change after Open Beta, as idiots will join more freely .__.). If no one answers, then there's always FiestaFan =]

Well, that isn't everything, but I'm sure someone will cover what I've missed. Just hope I've given you a small taste of the answer you're looking for.

Wow, sounds like Fiesta isn't a feast of grinding. Many quests? Awesome.
You guys just made me want to download the file. Thanks Dynamics for the link. A cookie for you.
I hope I get free time. School really eats up all of my time. I wanna see you guys in game so bad. Thanks for the opinions!
Anyone else?

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of grinding, just like any MMO. Difference with Fiesta is that there are things to keep you occupied in between, in case you get sick of grinding. Kingdom Quests and Quests are what I usually do to take a break from grinding. Others participate in guild wars, merchanting, or invest in their production skills. Production skills allow your character to make stones (for equipment upgrading), potions, scrolls and an array of other things. You can upgrade your ability by using it more. For example, with potion production you'll need to make the default HP Potion Tier 1* 150 times (correct me if I'm wrong anyone) until you can create the HP Regen Potion (heals you over time).
*Most things in Fiesta are separated into tiers, just think of it as the level of a certain item or skill.
Anyway, Fiesta's still a grindfeast, but one I'm willing to sit down to.

You have to play it to know if you like it or not. We can't make that decision for you.
All I gotta say. =]

Its a ugly grinder in reality, most quests either are Bring this item from Point a to point B
The other half of the quests are kill an X amount of monsters.
Some quests are bring me X and X.
Its pretty much the same thing for all the quests...
Once your 4x you'll need to do quest even though there hardly any around at that level.
The game is not very different from most mmos. The only thing that makes it unique is the KQS.

The meaning of victory is not to defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his every achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can recover. That is the meaning of victory.
